Dr John Trantalis
MBBS, FRACS (Ortho), FAOA
Dr John Trantalis is an internationally trained orthopaedic surgeon specialising in Shoulder & Elbow Surgery. He is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at The University of Sydney, and a Conjoint Lecturer at The University of New South Wales.
In addition to these teaching roles, he is a Learning Advisor for First Year Medical Students and Supervisor for Medical students completing MD research projects through the University of Sydney.

More recently, Dr Trantalis has become actively involved in gender equality in the workplace. He was a facilitator at the Orthopaedic Womens’ Link (OWL) Workshop held in Sydney in 2019, is part of the Gender Diversity Work Group through the UNSW, and is part of a group (Champions of Change) looking to increase the representation and involvement of women in surgery and orthopaedics.
